Sweet, crumbly pastry, almond filling and flavorful pear slices, all sprinkled with almond flakes and baked till golden and delicious. Then delicate dusting of icing sugar and voila!
Deep bittersweet chocolate taste and divine lightness. Delicate dusting of cocoa and deep brown grosgrain ribbon. So understated but oh so elegant.
Wishing you all a very happy 2016! And here are photos of some of my favourite cakes from 2015. I find, that their perfect round shape is extremely pleasing to the eye. And rather reassuring, almost and object for meditation. Hope your New Year will be as you wish it to be : ) The Daily Post – Circle
Sweet pastry, dark chocolate layer, vanilla cream and gorgeous ripe raspberries. And of course velvety dark red rose petals to finish the look : ) Perfection of both shape and taste. Enjoy ! https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/circle/
White hyacinths. Hope they will bloom for Christmas. If not, for The New Year’s day then. No chance for snow though, I’m afraid : (
A delight! Very thin buttery crust, fresh smoked salmon, nuggets of green broccoli and lots of dill baked in lovely creamy custard. The very fresh ingredients make the quiche a treat.
Delicious and totally addictive fruitcake packed with golden fruit and home made marzipan, perfumed with rose and orange flower waters. Decorated with a white sugar fondant snowflake, the cake is a celebration in itself.
